3D and 4K Gaming from iConsole.tv

One thing for certain about the future of gaming is that it looks exciting.

And not just because of the soon-to-be-released PS4 and Xbox One consoles due out at the end of 2013. Or the Nintendo Wii U. Or the Oculus Rift 3D headset that may be released in 2014. We’re talking about Android gaming.

It may sound weird, since mobile games only seem to take us so far. But a new developer’s kit is being shipped out now by iConsole.tv, made by Mobile Media Ventures, that is opening up the world of gaming to independent developers.

iConsole.tv is a powerful Android based gaming system that also uses a Linux Desktop feature to quickly run thousands of existing PC apps and games, including Valve’s Steam, which we’ve mentioned in the recent weeks.

This gaming system is said to be compatible with 4K and 3D TVs, giving us the impression that gamers have much to excited about with this console. Get a developer’s kit here.
