A bar graph recently posted to Reddit details the number of 3D movies released in theaters by years, and its findings are surprising.
It appears that 2011 was the pinnacle for the release of 3D movies in theaters with 59. In 2012 that number shrank to 44, and in 2013, 38 with still fewer slated for next year. Some are saying that this bell curve is drawn every 20 years or so.
We suppose that the numbers don’t necessarily lie, although the latest 3D trend probably won’t die out completely like it did in the 90s. This has to do with the number of folks not only with 3D TVs today, but also with the number of folks who like the latest in 3D technology (like us).
