Putting the best into 3D sometimes means holding back a release date just as in an up coming Warner Bros film.

Alfonso Cuarón’s 3D space epic “Gravity” will be pushed back until 2013,Warner Bros. said this week.

That means that cineastes will have to wait several more months to coo over the “Children of Men” director’s rumored 17-minute opening tracking shot and Sandra Bullock in a space suit.

George Clooney co-stars in the upcoming film, which was originally slated to open this November, in the heart of Oscar season. The studio did not offer a new date for its debut.
The science fiction opus from Cuarón is not the only film getting moved around the calendar by Warner Bros. The studio has moved up the opening of “Gangster Squad” from October to September 7.

In “Gangster Squad,” an off-the-books group of LAPDofficers (Josh Brolin and Ryan Gosling) engage in extra-legal means to bring down gangster Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn).
