Hewlett-Packard seems to be booting up their 3D for the upcoming holiday season.
Hewlett-Packard this week introduced a few new 3D-based computer products.
The new entries include a 3D TouchSmart PC and a device to wirelessly stream 3D content from a laptop to a 3D television.
The TouchSmart 620 3D Edition PC is a revamped version of the TouchSmart 610 that is already out on the market. The 23-inch 3D model requires active 3D glasses, and it adds a 120Mhz display, AMD processor and discrete graphics, and can be equipped with two 1.5TB hard drives. It is also equipped with a 3D webcam.
The TouchSmart 620 3D will ship on Nov. 15 and carry a $1,599 suggested retail.
“It’s 3D, but 3D for anyone,” he said, adding it also comes with the Cyberlink software so there is no dearth of content.
The final 3D product is the HP Wireless TV Connect 3D. This features a USB device that plugs into a computer’s USB and HDMI port to stream the 3D content to a second device that is connected 3DTV. The system uses WHDI streaming technology.
It ships on Dec. 7 with a $179 suggested retail.
