RealD CFO Drew Skarupa spoke yesterday at the MKM Partners Investor Day Conference in Oakland, Calif., and said that there are steps to saving 3D in movie theaters.
We know, that sort of sounds like 3D in theaters in on the verge of a meltdown. And while that’s not exactly the case, the RealD company’s stocks have been in the dumps for a few weeks now.
Skarupa added that a step in the right direction for the company to bounce back would include directors paying more attention to details in the productions, studios doing more to promote [3D movies], and theaters offering [3D movies] on additional screens.
The other thing discussed by Skarupa included his support for the rise of glasses-free 3D in the home theater realm.
