Sony Really Does Release 3D Headset

And the craziest thing about it? The cost. This new 3D headset from Sony, compatible with PCs, PS3s, and mobile devices costs $2027 dollars.

That’s not it though. Sony has apparently committed to releasing a dedicated gaming headset for the PS4 in 2014. While details surrounding that headset are far from certain, we hope that perhaps maybe someone will be able to afford it.

This headset though, is not dedicated to gaming. It allows users to watch 3D movies. It features 720p resolution and 7.1 surround sound, apparently. The HMZ-T3 is called a “personal viewer” headset, but it still seems weird next to the current Oculus Rift price tag of $300 for the development kit.
