Sony Rumored to Release PS4 3D Headset

September 4th, 2013 · No Comments · 3D Content, Newsflash

Well perhaps it is fitting to hear that Sony is developing their own 3D headset in today’s market climate anxious about the future of virtual reality.

Of course, we’ve just heard about the Meta 1 headset (below) that looks to be in competition with Google Glass more in the coming years. Also in recent months we’ve read extensively about the progress of the big virtual reality gaming headset, the Oculus Rift.

Sony recently failed to produce any prototype of a possible VR headset that should accompany the PS4 (if it ever sees the light of day) at the Gamescom show in Germany.

But for some reason, folks have been led to believe that such a headset is indeed being developed specifically for Evolution Studios’ upcoming racing game DriveClub. It has been stated that users will be able to turn their head and see the inside of the vehicle in 3D.
